Almost 100,000 flee the insurgency

💥 Islamic State (IS) has claimed responsibility for four attacks in Cabo Delgado province. According to statements published on social media, insurgents attacked the village of Nahuvi in Chiúre district twice, once on 27 February, burning a church and four houses, and again on 28 February, killing a man. Insurgents also burned a church, a school and 19 houses in the village of Muamula, approximately 5km from Nahuvi, on 28 February. IS also claimed to have killed seven members of a local milita near the village of Ntutupue in Ancuabe district on Sunday. In fact, the attack happened on Saturday and the militia was likely the Naparama, local sources told Zitamar News.
