Government subsidised LAM’s Maputo-Lisbon route from public funds

Sources say that then finance minister Max Tonela was pressured into handing over the subsidy

The Mozambican government used public funds to subsidise the loss-making state-owned airline LAM’s Maputo-Lisbon flights, often taken for free by elites in the ruling Frelimo party, Zitamar News has learned.
