The Irish mining company Kenmare Resources has offered to make a greater contribution to the Mozambican state coffers in order to win an extension to a deal allowing it to carry out certain operations tax free, but has said it reserves the right to sue the government in an international arbitration court if it does not honour what the company sees as its “clear right” to an extension.
