A second day of protests against alleged fraud in the general elections called by presidential candidate Venâncio Mondlane begins today.
The demonstrations follow a 'general strike' called by Mondlane on Monday, which saw police indiscriminately launching tear gas at protesters and journalists, prompting riots in which burning barricades were erected in the streets.
