The trial itself is due to start in October, with the various parties to the trial attempting to sue each other. The initial action was brought by Mozambique, against shipbuilding group Privinvest and the bank Credit Suisse; Privinvest has sought to include Nyusi himself as a party to the trial, claiming that if, as Mozambique alleges, it paid bribes, then it also paid bribes to Nyusi, when he was defence minister and presidential candidate.
