Good afternoon. The arrest of the former mother-in-law of notorious criminal boss Nini Satar (see below) suggests that the authorities are trying to demonstrate, after loud complaints from Mozambican Muslims in particular, that they are serious about cracking down on the wave of kidnappings in Mozambique’s biggest cities. It does not, however, show that they are close to capturing a kidnapping boss.
