Mozambican and Tanzanian security forces ambushed a group of Islamic State-backed insurgents in the early hours of this morning in the village of Ng'angolo in the Nangade district of Cabo Delgado province near the Tanzanian border, killing one.
Insurgents entered Ng'angolo just after midnight, where a combined force of the Mozambican army, police, Local Force militia and Tanzanian armed forces were waiting for them, a local source told Zitamar News.
