Vale cuts Mozambique coal production target again


Vale has cut its 2018 coal production forecast in Mozambique from 16 million tonnes to 15 million tonnes, the miner announced on Monday, citing severe weather conditions at the Moatize mines, which led to power plant outages and flooding of five production pits, as well as industrial action over unpaid bonuses in December 2017.
